You forgot to mention the original music, which is very elaborate and features unique instrumentation. An absolutely brilliant score, which contributes mightily to this extremely imaginative, well acted, and culturally intriguing horror film. Highly recommended!

Ok, so giving props to Dennis Quaid? Really?!?! I mean he wasn't too bad in Pandorum, but he starts to show signs of severe dementia in that movie, and then if you see Legion you realize how frickin retarded that man has now become. Total has-been if you ask me. Pandorum was all about the twist which was decent and Ben Foster who is always amazing!

Trick R' Treat was by far THE best horror movie REALEASED in '09. Best werewolf changing scene EVER! Not to mention the kids getting chased by the zombies...sweet!

I agree with Moon too. Great movie!!! Slow burn, but fantastic!

Zombieland was ... decent. I feel like it didn't have enough going on unlike Shaun of the Dead. It dragged sometimes, and it didn't have much plot to it. I'd say in the top 20.

Star Trek was movie of the year! Fuck District 9, Star Trek was by far the most entertaining, amazing movie of the year. 2 1/2 hours nonstop! District 9 lagged in some places (best paced movie, WHA!?! It's a dark comedy that turns into a sci-fi epic, it's paced all over the place), but ST was constant and badass!

Ink was by far one of the best movies ever. Like it says on the cover POETIC! It made me feel, it made me cry, and the blind navigator guy was amazing! It's up to watch for free on Hulu and it is worth it!

loved it. plain and simple, and simple it is. but isnt that what is about. just fun and a good laugh. want more. i guess 10 years between the original and the sequel could mean there is a possibilty of another, soon :) wee wee, poo poo

Where the hell did you even find this movie? It looks like a shot on video "classic" that fell behind the shelf at the video store in 1983, became covered in a 14 inch layer of dust and was not found until the store had their going out of business sale in 2006. I admire you for watching it for my reading pleasure, however, and I love it when you say things like "had a whip round."

An interesting review although I saw a theme to the film that may not be apparent to someone who has not had to give up access to their children.
This film returns something to absent parents in that it gives some explanation as to how they are misguided and how, when you realise that you have been misguided, it does not mean you are evil.
As portrayed in this film, I have spent many years believing that financial support of my family is more important than emotional support.
As I have grown older, the importance, in my mind, has shifted. This film offers me forgiveness for my mistake and an opportunity to put it right.
Nice one.
